“I am nervous but so dang excited, too,” said Burgundie Miceli, owner of Yoga Happiness, about reopening October 1 on North High Street in Clintonville. “I think this was meant to be.”

After opening as a one-woman studio in a tiny storefront on Arcadia in the University district in 2016, Yoga Happiness quickly acquired a following of students and teachers. A variety of activities including Yin Yoga with Trivia, live-streamed yoga talks, Thai massage and a yoga for addiction class have been held there.

Now Yoga Happiness is moving to a bigger space to be part of a High Street home being renovated for The Bartlett Medical Clinic.

“I’m very excited for the new space. We will have nice small classes, so the teacher can customize for the students, and say have a ‘yoga for cyclists’ session,” says Miceli. “We’ll also offer Friday Fun Yoga classes the last Friday of the month. October will have a Halloween theme and a special Pumpkin Spice Yoga class on October 20, 2018.”

Besides usual yoga classes, Miceli says, “I’m teaching lots of workshops, and special classes geared toward specific groups like runners and artists, in addition to offering private yoga and Thai Yoga Massage. Jesse Miller and I will do some restorative workshops, too. Jeremy Carroll is teaching 6 a.m. yoga on Tuesdays and Thursdays. James Vacca is teaching meditation. Tom Molnar teaching Native American trance meditation as well as beading classes and workshops. We will continue to have the Yoga Talk classes on Wednesdays at 7:30 p.m. to discuss monthly topics related to yoga. These are recorded for Yoga Happiness, YouTube and Patreon. Our Patreon patrons will soon receive free access to live streaming AM yoga classes as a reward!”

A long-time resident of Clintonville, Miceli grew up with grandparents who both had businesses on North High Street. Current Clintonville business owners such as Danielle at the gluten-free salon, Philosophi, are looking forward to the direct primary care, and, “It will be so nice to have a yoga studio almost across the street from us.”

In addition to Yoga Happiness, Jesse Miller, a licensed Occupational Therapist will also have a space in the Bartlett Medical Clinic & Wellness Center at 3630 N. High St. Dr. Heather Bartlett’s clinic offers affordable health care for a variety of monthly memberships.

October at Yoga Happiness will be filled with new and familiar classes and workshops. MindBody and their website will have the schedule and details. Yoga Happiness reopens October 1 at 3630 N. High St. in Clintonville.
