Yesterday’s grand opening drew in people of all ages for a day of live music, local caramels from Three Kids and a Kitchen, special discounts and much more. The shop will be open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on Sunday from noon to 5 p.m.

World Peaces is a Fair Trade wholesale company dedicated to making the world a better place through the use of worldwide ethical trading partnerships of sustainable handmade accessories and cultural objects. The shop urges buyers to embrace creating a sustainable planet by purchasing the accessories, home decor, gifts, and jewelry from countries including Africa, Latin America, Asia as well as local selections.

The World Peaces website states, “At heart, we just really love creating with brilliant women (and men), around the world to decorate ourselves and to color our lives.”

The Pop Up Shop will be operated by OSU Retail Savvy Interns, a group of undergraduate and graduate students who enjoy working with innovative concepts. The Retail Savvy Experience enables participating students the hands-on opportunity to learn from a retail concept with a global mission as well as Fair Trade companies and working in a non-profit setting with private organizations.

World Peaces Pop Up Shop will be located at 7227 North High Street and the intersection of I-270. For more information, head down to Worthington for the grand opening or visit their website at www.iloveworldpeaces.com.
