Woodlands Taking Over Park Street Complex

The set of Downtown nightlife venues known as the Park Street Complex have been acquired by bar owner Jimmy Woodland, owner of Woodlands Tavern and Woodlands Backyard. As of today, the Social, Park Street Patio and Park Street Saloon will operate under the new management team.

“My business partner and I have been working on this deal for the better part of five months,” explains owner Jimmy Woodland. “We’re quite excited about being on the street. It’s a really fun party area.”

Initially, little will change to the trio of venues, though Park Street Saloon may see a rebranding and a slight facelift around the first of the year. Additional live music programming will be added to all three venues to compliment the existing lineup of entertainment there on weekends.

“Woodlands has a great brand and they do a lot of great events and festivals,” says Chris Corso, who’s development company still owns the Park Street Complex buildings, but sold the businesses to Woodlands. “It’s always been our plan to find a nice mix of tenants that can bring energy to Park Street, and Woodlands will do just that.”

Additionally, the venues will begin operating four-to-six nights per week, rather than only being open during the weekends. The official kickoff party takes place next weekend, October 3rd through October 6 and will include four days of regional and local bands, djs and other entertainment.

“We’re not going to alienate the crowd already coming to Park Street, or change what’s already working well down there,” adds Woodland. “We’re keeping that and adding to it to make it better… adding our flavor to it.”
