Since we first heard about the possibility of Wolf’s Ridge Brewing building a taproom in a space near the rear of their building, we couldn’t wait to know what was happening next.

Alan Szuter, co-owner of Wolf’s Ridge gave a little insight as to what the next steps are for remodeling the space, currently used as a garage, into the Szuter family’s dream of a successful, operating taproom.

Szuter says that their vision is to have the taproom be a bit more of a casual environment as compared to the upscale feel of the front dining room.

“We want to make a great hangout spot,” said Szuter.

Wolf’s Ridge is currently waiting for the proper building permits to be able to continue with construction, but until then the blueprints of the taproom offer a good insight into the future space.

As soon as you walk into the soon-to-be taproom the first thing you notice are the large open windows. These windows will provide warmth, a nice breeze, and comfortability for guests coming in to drink.

The bar, which will extend down the middle of the space, will be the main focal point of the taproom. The bar will offer about 20 tap handles, can and bottle selection of craft beer, as well as hand crafted cocktails, a diverse liquor selection, and various wine choices.

The taproom will also feature picnic table style seating, long ledges underneath the styled windows with stools, a fireplace, leather couches and chairs, and two TVs that will sit on the back wall of the bar.

The family also plans to build a portable stage so that they can offer their patrons live music to pair with their drinking experience.

There is no specific date yet for when the taproom will be open, but be sure to keep an eye out for the upcoming months. Until then, you can Wolf’s Ridge for their lunch, brunch or dinner. The restaurant is closed on Mondays and holidays.
