Wild New Year with Wild Goose Creative

We have been hard at work here at Wild Goose Creative, booking exciting events in our brand new space for the upcoming year. We are expanding our event offering this year with not one, but TWO brand-new monthly events, WGC Presents and Workshopping.

WGC Presents will feature a different local band concert each month, with two great highlights: First, each concert is BYOB, so bring your favorite beer or wine to share and enjoy. And, second, each concert will start in the early evening at 7 p.m., so you can start your night out right, or catch a great show before you early birds need to head to bed!

Workshopping is a great way to learn a new skill, craft, or taste, as we are featuring a one-time skill workshop or food/beverage tasting each month.  Some of these events will happen at our space, and some will happen out in the Columbus community; the exact dates and times of Workshopping will vary, so keep an eye on our website. Of course, we always have our monthly artist work-in-progress series Third Thursdays as well as our culinary arts events called Too Many Cooks!

Our first quarter hit the ground running with a brand new play by playwright Debra Freeberg at Third Thursdays, a Whiskey Tasting Workshopping, and a fantastic WGC Presents with Eric Nassau and Friends. But that’s just the first month! In February we are featuring the culinary magic of Pattycake Vegan Bakery and then composer Jeffrey T. Horvath. We are also hosting our first 2009 monthly Craft Night on February 12th.  March brings in our friends from Northstar Cafe and then woodturning artist Devon Palmer! We are also featuring Columbus Public Theatre’s performance of Everyman for two weekends in March!

If you’re looking for a way to meet other artists and hone your skills, consider joining one of our art groups! Currently we have four groups that meet each month: Writer’s Group, Painter’s Group, The Comedy Group, and Figure Drawing. Each of these is open to the public, beginners to experts!

Our events take place at our brand new space in Clintonville at 2491 Summit Street and, as always, you can find our full event listings, suggest future events, and find more information on our website at!
