Wicked Lobstah Food Truck Hits the Road Later this Month
EdArm, the company that brought diners the Sweet Tooth Twisted Ice Cream, Sweet Tooth Scooped Ice Cream, and Chicky Chicky Waffle food trucks, is putting out a new concept. Wicked Lobstah, serving up lobster rolls and tacos, will make its debut by the end of September.
Wicked Lobstah’s core menu will include three different lobster rolls, both hot and cold-style. While it’s still being finalized, owner Tyler Armentrout says they’re also planning on lobster tacos and gator tacos.
EdArm’s food trucks don’t have a set schedule, but they can usually be found wherever their fellow food truck operators congregate, including the Columbus Food Truck Festival and other events around the city. Armentrout says the trucks travel as well, hitting Detroit, Dayton, Cincinnati, Springfield and Louisville.
However, Armentrout says they are always on the lookout for regular opportunities, and a brewery would be their ideal spot.
“I’m sure a lot of the breweries will be on the hit list,” he says. “Those are always good events to jump on and give those people that are doing those Thursday, Friday, Saturday nights out at the brewery something different to eat.”
Wicked Lobstah is one of four new concepts coming out of EdArm. The other three are being kept under wraps, but their trucks are being readied to accommodate food processing. Armentrout says the variety of concepts reflects his own culinary interests, which change often.
“I was always a chef. I worked at hotels and restaurants, and something about just doing the same thing every day was kind of what I was trying to get out of,” Armentrout says. “We get to do different things. Even if it’s our chicken and waffle truck — we’re doing pumpkin fries and Mexican street corn.”
Armentrout says Wicked Lobstah will appear at NightLight614 on September 27. To keep up with their schedule, visit their Facebook page.
