Billed as a beacon in one-stop shopping and dining, the new Whole Foods Market located at 1555 Lane Avenue, opens its doors on Wednesday, March 6 at 10am. A farmer’s market, old-fashioned butcher, bakery, fishmonger, and grocer all in one, the new Whole Foods is poised to redefine shopping and leisure convenience for the Upper Arlington area.

“The new store will provide an enriched shopping experience,” said Store Team Leader Jared Pinkos. “We are looking forward to sharing the new store and all its amenities.”

And the amenities are plentiful: free Wi-Fi, a 42-seat indoor and 40-seat outdoor cafe, grab-n-go lunch kiosks using touch screen technology, a full service taco bar, and an on-site Cooking Coach there to assist customers as they shop for and prepare healthy, seasonal dishes at home.

Then there’s The Social, a tavern-style coffee bar and pub which will offer 100% certified organic specialty coffees from twenty two countries around the world, up to ten local beers on tap, and freshly-made dishes customers can enjoy in the plush 42-seat room. If you don’t have the time or inclination to sit and mingle, there’s a sip-and-stroll policy enacted at the Whole Foods Upper Arlington which allows shoppers to enjoy their wine, coffee or beer while they shop.

You can check out the new facilities and services at the 35,000 square-foot location at the grand opening on Wednesday. There will be free tastings and cooking demonstrations, live music, and more.
