Where to Find Carry-Out Cocktails in Columbus
You no longer have to be a master mixologist (or buy all the ingredients) for a solid quarantine cocktail.
On Tuesday, April 7, Ohio Governor Mike DeWine announced that bars and restaurants with existing on-premise liquor permits could start slinging cocktails for off-premise consumption – with a few rules. According to Ohio Liquor Control…
- No more than two high-proof spiritous drinks per meal (and who says a meal isn’t chips and queso…) with two ounces of liquor per drink
- Spiritous drinks must be served in a closed container (you are still subject to open container laws once you leave the premise)
- Beer and wine are still game for carryout purchase without a food order
To-go cocktails will also remain a thing for up to 120 days. Whether that cocktail arrives through carry-out or delivery is up to each individual establishment and their current operations.
