Aspiring mixologists will soon need to find a new venue to explore the craft of cocktail making. West Egg Cocktail Supply, a local business catering to booze enthusiasts, will close its doors come August 3.

The business started in October of 2017, launching within the Cactus Consortium at 909 W. Fifth Ave. Owned by sisters Jess Saleska and Cole Londeree, West Egg offers workshops instructing customers on how to create their favorite cocktails, and how to pair them with food.

West Egg’s closure was announced on social media. Saleska is leaving Ohio for the west coast to pursue a career in public health research at UCLA.

“We’re tremendously proud of her, and we can’t wait to see what she does next,” the post reads. “Unfortunately, this means the bittersweet end of West Egg. We could not be more grateful for all of the support from our Columbus community— from the small business owners who made space for us, to the bartending experts that taught our classes, to the customers that have become our close friends. We could not have made West Egg possible without you.”

West Egg will hold a farewell party on August 3. They’ll serve snacks and cocktails, and all of their products will be 30 percent off. To reserve your spot, click here.
