Offering a “revolutionary approach” to pizza, Brooklyn-based restaurant Viiza opened the doors of its first Ohio location on Wednesday, May 16. Located Downtown at 4 E. Broad St., Viiza’s main offering is pizza in a cone, designed for on-the-go eaters.
Viiza has more than a dozen of its own signature pizza cones to choose from, categorized into two types: classic and Asian. The former includes a Hawaiian cone with pineapple, onion, and sausage; a vegetarian option with mushrooms, brocooli, olives, onion, and peppers; and a spicy cone with pepperoni, onion, corn, jalapeños, and banana peppers, among others. The Asian varieties include a Peking duck cone; a spicy lobster cone; and a seafood deluxe cone that’s packed with shrimp, squid, crab stick, pepper and corn.
For those with a sweet tooth, there’s also the banana chocolate cone with crushed peanuts.
Along with pizza cones, guests can also order salads and specialty beverages. Named for their container, Viiza’s lightbulb drinks include a range of teas and mojitos with flavorings like piña colada, strawberry, passion fruit, mango, honey lemon, and more.
Viiza is largely a grab-and-go restaurant, but it does offer seating for up to 10 people.
Viiza can also be found in Atlanta and Nashville. It’s open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Sunday.
