After a summer of popular outdoor yoga classes, Zen Yoga is moving indoors!  Zen Yoga will open an indoor studio space at 2158 Tremont Center on October 5, 2020.

“We have been looking at quite a few options,” says Ellen Eilers, owner of Zen Yoga. “We love being outside, but we were looking at going indoors for the winter. We also needed more space for larger classes. In this studio, we can get welcome more people and still have proper social distancing.”

The new location has many large, south-facing windows allowing lots of natural light, and it has plenty of parking in the southwest corner of Tremont Center (not far from Moretti’s).

Zen Yoga students will also have access to classes through livestreaming of every scheduled class.

“We have a good number of online only memberships — some people are even in different countries!” says Eilers. “One of our students meets with her sisters in Michigan and Pennsylvania during our online classes. The livestreams are a fun way for friends to connect with each other.”

Over this Summer of 2020, Zen Yoga has held classes in several outdoor locations. Outdoor classes from Eilers and other Zen Yoga teachers will continue Friday through Sunday in Goodale Park for awhile yet, weather permitting. Classes meet near the shelter house.

Zen Yoga will be capping their teacher training at 8 people this year to allow for a quality experience and social distancing during the trainings.  Zen Yoga looks forward to growing the community — indoors, outdoors and online.

“We also have community “meet up” classes, so we can interact with our students and teachers.

Zen Yoga Studio opens Monday, October 5, 2020 at 2158 Tremont Center in Arlington and will have a $30 for 30 days intro offer.
