Canal Winchester Village Council is expected to vote Oct. 1 on a resolution outlining preferred future uses for 13 downtown properties now for sale.
Development director Chris Strayer said Main Street Canal Winchester and the village’s Old Town Committee made recommendations on uses for the properties. Since these groups focus on downtown properties, they were the best organizations to give opinions on future uses, Strayer said.
The suggestions center on retail, office space and residential uses, with some parkland, Strayer said.
Strayer said it’s important to fill tenant these locations in order to continue the economic health of downtown Canal Winchester.
