Valley Dale Ballroom Reopens with Help by Made From Scratch Catering Firm

After spending the better part of 2015 closed, the historic Valley Dale Ballroom on Sunbury Road is scheduled to reopen this month under the control of new management. Locally based catering and event firm Made From Scratch will be taking over the day to day operations, following the completion of renovations to the main ballroom.

“This is an exciting time for the Valley Dale Ballroom — we’re bringing light and life back through these remarkable doors and setting the stage for the next 100 years,” said Larry Clark, CEO & President of Made From Scratch. “We expect to have the last quarter of 2015 and most of 2016 booked very quickly.”

The renovation work will keep the historic nature of the property intact, with over a million dollars being spent on upgrades to the interior and exterior structure, lighting and security systems.

When Valley Dale abruptly closed back in February, the news caught many off guard, leaving multiple local event planners without a venue for scheduled events. Clark said that they’re aware of the challenges that Made From Scratch will faces in overcoming the damage to the reputation of the facility, but are confident that they can right the ship.

The new management says that Valley Dale will reopen to host events again beginning on November 15th.
