Downtown Columbus will be home to a new upscale Indian restaurant before the end of 2017. Haveli Bistro was officially unveiled today as the new concept launching at the corner of Spring Street and High Street in the heart of the city.
Co-owner Rahul Pinnamaneni described the new concept as a “contemporary, gourmet Indian treasure” with a menu that spans both classic and modern dishes from the North and South of the country. The space will include an open kitchen environment, community dining table and private dining room.
“Our highly experienced chefs use high-quality ingredients and pay attention to detail that adds taste and aroma to the food,” he stated. “Traditional favorites, as well as new twists, line our menu of appetizers, soup and salads, entrees, and desserts.”
The two-story 5,000 square foot 168-seat restaurant space has sat vacant for several years at the prominent intersection. Property owner Sam Horner explained that the hiring of new business realtors helped to secure the right concept and tenant for the space.
“We are in the perfect location to embrace the neighboring businesses, convention center, and residents as well as tourists,” added Pinnamaneni. “Our food and drink menu will be approachable, yet interesting with a wide variety of options.”
“We offer local and imported wines, a wide variety of spirits and creative cocktails as well as a happy hour food menu that will be fun, unique and original,” added Co-owner Hari Parupalli. “Our service style emphasizes hospitality with welcoming, knowledgeable and technically proficient staff.”
Haveli Bistro is slated to open sometime in November or December, following an interior renovation that includes new floors, new bar tops, new lighting fixtures, new artwork and more. The restaurant will operate seven days per week for dinner with a weekday lunch buffet.
