The newest North Market vendor is officially open. Two Brothers Butcher Shoppe — owned and operated by the Schuman brothers — launched yesterday, selling high quality fresh meats, sausages, deli meats and read-to-cook meals to North Market shoppers. The new store takes the place of former butcher Bluescreek Farm Meats, which relocated to Plain City earlier this year.
“The addition and opening of Two Brothers is monumental — they are the epitome and the future of fresh, local and authentic at the North Market,” said North Market Executive Director Rick Harrison Wolfe. “Fresh meats are such an important aspect of who and what we are, and it has been for 140 years. We are extremely lucky to have found the Schuman brothers who have unparalleled passion and skill for all things butcher related.”
Brothers Robert and Richie Schuman are the grandchildren of the founder of Schuman’s Meats, where both worked at an early age. The new North Market store carries on that third-generation family tradition.
