Asheville, NC based Tupelo Honey is bringing a taste of the south to Upper Arlington. The restaurant will open its first Ohio location at 1690 W. Lane Ave. next year.

The 5,500 square foot eatery will be part of Westmont at The Lane, a mixed-use development featuring apartments, for-sale townhomes, office, restaurant and retail space, as well as a parking garage and lot.

“We were searching for an up-and-coming, vibrant area for this location,” said Christin Price, senior vice president of marketing at Tupelo Honey. “With the rapid growth in Central Ohio and the dynamic base of people located in Upper Arlington, we knew that Westmont at The Lane was an ideal fit.”

Serving up all-day brunch, lunch and dinner, Tupelo Honey’s menu spans Southern favorites like biscuits and fried green tomatoes, to their signature Honey Dusted Fried Chicken, Fried Chicken & Waffles, Shrimp & Grits, Shrimp Po’ Boy and much more. The brunch menu includes eats like a traditional breakfast, Southwestern Omelet, Fried Chicken & Biscuit and more. Don’t forget the waffles, pancakes and Benedicts.

There will be plenty to drink as well, with Bloody Marys, Mimosas, a signature cocktail list and robust menu of wine, beer and liquor featuring a number of local offerings.

“Although there has been rapid growth in central Ohio, there aren’t many southern food options,” said Prince. “We’re so excited to introduce people to the amazing food and southern hospitality that we offer. We truly strive to make every guest feel at home.”

Founded in 2000, Tupelo Honey now operates 17 restaurants across the country. Joining the southern eatery in the development is the 12th Local Cantina location in Central Ohio (with the restaurant also committed to plans in the Trolley District).

Construction on Tupelo Honey will start early next year with a planned debut in spring 2022.
