Easton Town Center announced on Monday that Phoenix-based True Food Kitchen will open as part of their 16-acre, $500 million expansion in 2020. The brand has 26 locations nationwide, their Easton location being the first to come to Ohio.
True Food Kitchen offers food for every preference, including a selection of vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free dishes. Co-created by Dr. Andrew Weil, of integrative medicine, the restaurant uses in-season produce to put out a rotating menu of health-forward options.
“We’re attracted to Easton Town Center for many reasons not the least of which is its innovative mix of retail, residence, and dining,” said Shannon Keller, chief marketing officer of True Food Kitchen, in a press release. “As a brand that’s as passionate about our food as we are the local community, we look forward to introducing Columbus residents and visitors to a better way of eating and making them feel at home in our restaurant.”
True Food Kitchen will have a 6,000 square foot location, featuring an indoor and outdoor dining space and a bar.
“It is an extraordinarily popular destination restaurant serving Gluten-Free, Vegetarian and Vegan dishes for lunch, dinner and weekend brunch along with a full array of spirits, including beer, wine and seasonal cocktails,” said Jennifer Peterson, Chief Executive of Easton. “There is tremendous demand for this category of dining among our customers so we fully expect them to develop a strong following from the minute their doors open at Easton.”
Other previously announced projects have released more details. RH Columbus, a design gallery, is the first of its kind in the state and will offer a collection of home furnishings in a gallery style. Opening later this year, it’ll span 40,000 square feet in a freestanding building with a rooftop park and café. And Aloft Hotel, a 136-unit facility, will also feature a 7,500 square-foot restaurant, fitness center and pool. Its opening is set for 2020.
