Despite a global pandemic, the construction industry showed little signs of slowdown this year with 51 major projects announced, 60 more currently under construction and another 32 completed. Pretty much every corner of the city saw some form of construction under way on new apartments, homes, offices, retail, hospitals, parking garages, roads, highways and parks.

When we asked our readers to rank these projects for 2021, they picked Bridge Park in Dublin as the number one project of the year. Publicly unveiled in 2014, the Bridge Park development from Crawford Hoying was a landscape-altering shift for the City of Dublin, which had outlined plans to grow denser than most of its suburban acreage. Construction began in the summer of 2015 and just six short years later, many of Bridge Park’s buildings are completed on both sides of the Scioto River, adding hundreds of residences, dozens of new businesses, and loads of new urban experiences to the region. With several buildings currently under construction and a few more yet to begin, Bridge Park will continue to shape Dublin in new ways over the next several years.
