While Central Ohio is relatively flat without oceans or mountains, we make up for it in parkland with a wide variety of outdoor recreation spaces. From smaller urban parks to rural outdoor settings, you can find a lot to do outside year-round.
When our readers and editors were surveyed to decide the top park this year, they returned to the Scioto Audubon Metro Park, which will celebrate it’s 10th birthday in 2019. The Scioto Audubon offers the best of both worlds… an 120-acre urban location with a scenic skyline view that boasts rural amenities like bird watching, fishing, boating and more. The park also features an intense obstacle course, climbing walls, a dog park and the indoor Audubon Center, which is programmed with classes and events year-round.
