A few events remained virtual or cancelled all together, but that isn’t stopping our readers from showing their love of all types of festivals in our annual reader survey.

This year, our readers picked Scrawl as the number one festival of 2021. The annual “plein air” mural painting event took place in Franklinton on August 28th and 29th, showcasing a wide variety of unique local creative talents. Some of the artists featured in this 15th installation of the event included Marcus William Billingsley, Maureen Clark, Lance Johnson, Andrew Lundberg, Ashley Pierce, Daniel Rona and many more.
