Tom+Chee Closes all Three Columbus Locations

Cincinnati-based restaurant Tom+Chee appears to have quietly closed all three Central Ohio locations. The grilled-cheese-and-tomato-soup-centric restaurants were operated locally by franchisee Ron Freeman.

The University District location was dark during lunchtime today, has been reported as closed on Yelp, and both its Twitter and Facebook accounts have been deleted. The phone number for the University District location has been disconnected, and calls to the Hilliard and Pickerington locations during business hours today either went unanswered or to generic voicemail boxes.

Additionally, the three Central Ohio locations have all been removed from company’s website. An email sent to the company’s headquarters has not be answered as of the time of publishing this article.

Tom+Chee expanded quickly into the Columbus market in 2014, opening the two suburban locations that summer. The University District location opened a few months later in November 2014.
