This Week in Local Food Blogging (8/27/11)

This week features fewer reviews and more information and instructional updates from our local food bloggers. Hounds in the Kitchen provides help for managing home canned goods (pictured) as well as a homemade pizza recipe. Nothing Better To Do heads down to review the Statehouse’s Capitol Cafe, which is now run by the folks from Milo’s Deli in Franklinton. Drink Up Columbus prepares for cooler autumn weather with some instructions on making your own hard cider. The Columbus Underground Restaurant Review series continues this week with a trip to Lavash Café in Clintonville. Breakfast with Nick provides a review of the breakfast at the OSU Medical Center… and he and his wife decide to have a baby while they’re there. And last but not least, Slow Food Columbus has two updates this week, one that features the $5 Challenge, and the other discusses some of the “class warfare” going on within the national culinary community and what we can learn from it.
