This Week In Food Blogging (Thanksgiving Edition)

Thanksgiving is always a great time to follow local food blogs. Some may provide inspiration through their recipes, some may provide photo reviews of how they spent their holiday meals, and some provide ideas for dining out if you’re not in the mood to cook.
Columbus Foodie provided lots of recipes and photos for a smaller home cooked meal. Itinerant Foodies provided us with a guide to making a pumpkin pie from scratch (including pureeing your own pumpkin). The Slow Food Columbus Blog posted up a great review of the Slow Taste of Tuscany dinner at Basi Italia last week. The Taco Truck crew spent their Thanksgiving at Taco Nazo with a special event. Breakfast with Nick provides another look at the brunch offerings of the Banana Bean Cafe. Hungry Woolf spent the holiday entertaining family and has posted up a great review of how Columbus was showcased to her guests over the holiday week.
Last but not least, there were two non-Thanksgiving related posts that were still equally interesting to read this past week: CMH Gourmand went through a restaurant safety course to better understand the industry that he regularly writes about, and Lisa the Waitress has posted an amazing story about how Anthony Bourdain experienced dining at Kihachi while in Columbus last week on his tour.
