Alabama-based The Yard Milkshake Bar will open its doors at 1055 N. High St. next month.

The ‘Gram-worthy milkshakes come in their own souvenir jars, dipped and overflowing with a laundry list of ingredients. Some of the 18 flavors include The Mermaid, The Cereal Killer, Peanut Butter Finger Waffle, Cookies N’ Worms and The Unicorn. Columbus will have its own exclusive concoction, The Buckeye, that includes Graham Central Station and Honey Roasted Peanut Butter ice cream in a red and white marshmallow drizzled chocolate iced jar, rolled in buckeye sprinkles. It’s topped with two buckeyes, whipped cream and more sprinkles.

There’s more. The Yard’s menu also includes 30 ice cream flavors (which can be dressed up with dozens of toppings), edible cookie dough and specialty ice cream bowls. (And there are a handful of gluten-free and vegan options across the board.)

The milkshake shop opened its first location Gulf Shores, AL in 2017 and has since grown to 20 locations nationwide, including Columbus and Pigeon Forge, TN which are both slated to open this year. The milkshakes even warranted a 2019 appearance on Shark Tank.

The Columbus location will be locally owned and operated but a husband-and-wife duo.

The Yard in Short North also has the designation of a few firsts. It’s the milkshake maker’s first location in Ohio and the first ground-floor retail tenant of the Valencia on High building which was completed in 2018.
