No matter your preferred genre — from comic book blockbusters to black and white indie films — you want to have a great cinematic experience when going out to the movie theater.
We asked our readers and editors to nominate and vote on their top choices for the best movie theater experience in Columbus and this year the Gateway Film Center topped the list. This nonprofit movie space has been showcasing a wide variety of first run and programmatic viewings for over a decade, offering a unique alternative to the megaplexes. That doesn’t mean that viewers have to sacrifice quality to support a local establishment — the Gateway sports both state-of-the-art digital projectors as well as classic 35mm and 70mm projectors for special screenings.
