The Top 10 Development Projects of 2020

While 2020 was a tough year for a lot of people and businesses, construction sites didn’t slow down a whole lot with progress on new development all over Columbus. We saw several major projects wrap up this year, while others are moving quickly toward a 2021 finish.

At the top of the list, based on the results from our readers and editors, was the new Crew Stadium development at the edge of the Arena District in Downtown Columbus. The stadium is slated for a grand opening in July 2021 in time for next year’s MLS season, while some of the surrounding mixed-use portions of the Confluence Village site will arrive in later phases.

We took a tour of the new stadium back in September, so be sure to check out the work-in-progress for photos and video of the construction site.
