The Top 10 Development Projects of 2019

2019 was a big year for urban development projects throughout Central Ohio. Not only has Downtown Columbus and the Short North continued to grow denser, we’re seeing more verticality and mixed-use projects fully forming in suburban areas like Dublin and Easton. Our readers and editors surveyed the year’s development landscape to name the top project of 2019 and landed with Gravity at the top of the list.

Gravity is the first phase of a mixed-use residential community from Kaufman Development in Franklinton. In addition to the apartment units and unique architecture, this new building has brought new jobs (Cova Coworking, BarkBox) and retail (Roosevelt, Taft’s) to the area as well.

As the first phase of Gravity has wrapped up in 2019, the second larger phase is slated to break ground in 2020, continuing the trend of urban development in the Franklinton neighborhood.
