The Normandy Wraps Construction, Continues with Leasing
The Normandy is the first of two new 130-unit five-story apartment buildings located on the Long Street side of Downtown’s Neighborhood Launch development, and the final bits of construction are in the process of being wrapped up. The first tenants began moving into the building on August 1st, and is currently just over one-third occupied.
“Leasing is going pretty well,” stated Kim Ulle, President at Eclipse Real Estate Group, a division of The Edwards Companies, developer of Neighborhood Launch. “We didn’t hit the market at the right time unfortunately. If we had started moving people in back in June we’d be in a much better place.”
Still, Ulle said that despite being in the middle of the slower end of the apartment-hunting season, they’re still seeing several new leases signed every week, and that they’re happy with the ongoing lease commitments. The building still has around 20 units that are currently seeing cosmetic finishes wrapped up.
Apartment units at The Normandy range from 462 square feet to 1609 square feet, and prices range from $938 to $2,800 per month. Rent prices include access to amenities at The Welsh.
