The Mental Floss Trivia Show Arrives in Columbus

Mental Floss – the company that makes it their mission to make you “Feel Smart Again” – will bring its unique brand of humorous trivia to Columbus this Thursday evening when it hosts The Mental Floss Trivia Show at Polaris Fashion Place.

The show will be the featured entertainment at the Nissan LEAF Drive Electric Pavilion – a national tour designed to show off the new 100% electric, zero-emission vehicle.

Those who register and attend the trivia show will receive free magazines, a free Mental Floss t-shirt of their choosing, free food and drinks and, of course, the opportunity to win a variety of Mental Floss prizes by answering some pretty unique trivia. (As an added bonus, anyone that brings 3 people to them event will also receive a free year subscription to Mental Floss magazine.)

Attendees can register by CLICKING HERE.

Plus, those interested in learning more about the 100% electric Nissan Leaf (Where does it plug in? How long will it run on a charge? Does it have a flux capacitor?) will have all of their questions answered and get the chance to take a brief test drive.

Anyone unfamiliar with Mental Floss should check out the fascinating factoids on their popular website, www.mentalfloss.com. (Full Disclosure: I write for that site) or check out a few selected articles from the latest issue of the Mental Floss magazine:

    • The End of the World Recipe Book – From lion fish to kudzu, creepy lifeforms are overtaking our planet. Pretty soon they’ll be the only food left to eat! We’re here to help you get comfortable with the coming apocalypse. Bring your apron and an appetite.
    • Modern Problems – Apparently, modern art’s biggest problem isn’t getting a dead shark into a giant tank of liquid, it’s keeping it there.
    • 6 Freakishly Effective Ways to Court The Muse – Need a pickax for your writer’s block? From rotten apples to hideous haircuts, we provide a variety of cures; all you need is the courage to try them.

The issue also features this intriguing infographic that left a less than flattering impression of Ohio’s lothario credentials:
