The Grand Event Center Announced at Grandview Yard

Grandview Yard quickly become a true “mixed use” development with an arrangement of office space, apartments, restaurants, hotels, a grocery store, a brewery, a fitness center, greenspace and more. One thing it lacks is event/conference space, but that is scheduled to change over the course of the next year. Grandview Yard developer Nationwide Realty Investors (NRI) announced The Grand Event Center yesterday, a new 13,000 square foot event space that will complement the addition of a new Courtyard by Marriott hotel next door.

“The Grand Event Center will serve as an important amenity to Grandview Yard and the surrounding communities,” said NRI President & COO Brian Ellis. “The center’s location and technology assets will support the needs of the corporate community, while the creative spaces and high-touch services will benefit those planning weddings and social events.”

Located at 820 Goodale Boulevard (near the northeast intersection of Yard Street and Goodale), the new facility will include 4,500 square foot grand ballroom designed to accommodate up to 300 guests with a full scale commercial kitchen for on-site catering. The venue also features a large outdoor courtyard area designed for another 100 guests. The Grant Event Center will be serviced by the recently completed 500-unit parking deck located directly northeast of the site.

Groundbreaking is expected to take place in May 2015, with a target completion timeframe of Summer 2016. Once complete, the facility will be operated Columbus Hospitality Management, which operates multiple other Grandview Yard and Arena District properties, including Hyatt Place, The Lofts Hotel, Buckeye Hall of Fame Grill and The Arena District Athletic Club.
