BBR is the quintessential sports bar in many ways. Its large, spacious bar and central location make it optimal for group gathering. Game day at BBR most closely resembles the campus experience – without all the traffic hassles and crowded streets.

There’s something special about hundreds of excited Buckeyes all gathered in one space cheering collectively at every completed pass, hollering at every big hit. BBR is the place you come to when you want to recapture the energy of your college days. The crowd is decidedly young and urban.  And now that BBR has a renewed commitment to quality food, it’s sure to be a game day hit.

The Big Bad Burger is a grilled, half-pound monster of  tri-tip, tenderloin, and sirloin blended just for BBR. It’s beautifully glazed with a bourbon barbecue sauce that’s not too heavy and a slightly sweet complement to the fresh-fried onion straws that top the burger. It’s also double-cheesed with aged cheddar and pepper jack, and like most of the items on BBR’s menu, it’s huge, juicy, and demands finger licking.

Chef Jimmie Harris’ approach to food is not one generally found at a sports bar. His take on even the simple burger is one that highlights the earthy, meaty quality of the locally-sourced beef in a way that true burger lovers will enjoy.

On Sundays and Monday nights, all burgers are half off, so stop by and try the Big Bad on for size. BBR is located at 106 Vine Street. They open at 10am on noon game days, and at their regular time, 11am, every other day.

We know what really matters most at the end of every game day is whether or not our team won, but enjoying the victory is equally as important. There’s no need to sacrifice good food for an awesome game day experience, or vice versa, so try one of these spots on the big day. And, as always, Go Bucks!
