After nearly 10 years in business in Columbus, The Candle Lab is ready to make the jump into a new market. This fall, the company will open its first Cincinnati store in the city’s popular Over-The-Rhine neighborhood at 1325 Vine Street.

“We looked at OTR three years ago but the neighborhood was a still a little too rough around the edges,” said Steve Weaver, Owner of The Candle Lab. “The neighborhood reminds me so much of the Short North six or seven years ago, so we’re so excited to be getting in early and to be a part of the ongoing rebirth of that business district.”

The Candle Lab’s new store will be near other Columbus exports including HOMAGE, Elm & Iron and 16-Bit Bar+Arcade, as well as some Cincinnati businesses like Bakersfield, Taste of Belgium, and The Eagle, which have arrived (or are coming soon) in Columbus.

Weaver said that the his new store will operate the same as his three Columbus locations in Grandview Heights, The Short North and Worthington. The OTR store is tentatively scheduled to open on Thursday, September 23rd, with another new location following soon.

“We are already scouting other neighborhoods in Cleveland, Indianapolis and Chicago for the next store to open in 2016,” said Weaver.
