Columbus is home to many great desserts, produced by a wide range of restaurants, cafes, and other assorted treat-makers. In years past, we’ve surveyed our readers on their overall favorite desserts, but this year we decided to narrow the question to just include bakeries. The reason for that is because we’re determining the best desserts with an annual Mardi Gras tasting event called Best Bites: Sweet Treats, which returns in 2016.
In the meantime, our readers have continued to vote for Pistacia Vera as the top bakery, just as it has been picked as the top dessert in years past. The french-style bake shop has got two stellar locations (German Village and North Market) where they produce an always impressive assortment of eclairs, tarts, tortes and of course, macarons.
