The Attic, a Short North boutique specializing in vintage decor and apparel items has closed their doors at 1190 North High Street. Owner Rhome Ruanphae confirmed the closure and said that they have sold the building where the store was located.

The Attic originally opened at 1122 North High Street (next door to Basil Thai, also owned by Ruanphae) in November of 2010 before relocating. Ruanphae hasn’t ruled out another relocation in the future, but said that he couldn’t find a good location at the moment.

“We looked for a new space, but I don’t think we could have signed a lease and felt comfortable,” he said.

In the meantime, The Attic will be selling off their leftover inventory in front of Basil Thai during a Short North Sidewalk Sale on July 20th.

The retail space at 1190 North High won’t sit empty long, as it will soon become the new home of the relocated PM Gallery. More information on the new PM Gallery can be found HERE.
