Taste of Belgium Named Best Brunch in Columbus at Best Bites
Last night, local food fans participated in our second annual Best Bites: Brunch event, featuring a collection of the city’s best chefs and restaurants. The Ohio History Connection hosted two floors of brunching goodness, and after tasting, guests casted their votes on their favorite bite of the night.
The treats that were sampled included bites from restaurants and food trucks such as Sunny Street Cafe, Copious, Broke Johnny Food Truck, Drunch Eatery + Bar, Taste of Belgium, 101 Beer Kitchen, CBC Restaurant, Hadley’s Bar + Kitchen, The Worthington Inn, Biscuit and Branch, Tucci’s, What the Waffle, Put it in Your Face Sandwich Cart, Bob Evans, Trattoria Roma, Rusty Bucket Restaurant & Tavern , Liberte Yogurt, Barroluco Argentine Comfort Food and Just Naturally Yummy Bakery.
The votes have been tallied up, and the winner is Taste of Belgium with their Bourbon Cherry Waffles.
The top five vote getters included:
Taste of Belgium – Bourbon Cherry Waffles
Sunny Street Cafe – Carnitas Breakfast Quesadilla
101 Beer Kitchen – Pigs in a Blanket
Tucci’s – Warm Farro Bowl

The event also featured Micheladas, Mimosas, Modelo Especial and Modelo Negra, Chloe Wines, Specialty Cocktails by St. Brendan’s and music from DJ Charles Erickson. Attendees helped us raise over $2,800 for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Ohio. The Columbus Underground Best Bites event series have collectively raised over $27,000 for local charities since August 2014.

A big thanks goes to Lillian Dent for capturing the night in photos! Thank you to the Ohio History Connection staff for helping us have another successful event together.
