    Tasi Cafe Closing its Doors

After 17 years in business, Tasi Cafe is closing up shop at 680 N. Pearl St. in Italian Village. The announcement was made on social media earlier today, noting that Friday, August 4 would be the final day of business.

The restaurant was launched by Tasi Rigsby in 2007, partly to serve as a casual brunch-centric offshoot of the more formal Rigsby’s Kitchen, which closed in 2015 after nearly 30 years in business. An offshoot called Zoe Cafe operated in Bexley from 2014 to 2018, serving up a similar menu with an expansion into dinner service.

“We have loved being a special part of this community,” a statement from Tasi shared on Instagram. “Our Cafe opened our hearts and our doors to you for 17 years. Thank you for being so loyal and supportive.”

Tasi Cafe made regular Top 10 appearances in the annual “Best of CU” reader survey in the “Best Brunch” category, taking home the #1 spot in 2014 and 2012.
