What could be better on a cold winter day than a room full of your favorite treats? Nothing! That’s why Columbus Underground is bringing back the Sweet Treats Dessert FestivalĀ on Saturday, February 3! The event will feature sweets from some of Columbusā€™ best treat makers, dessert-themed shopping experiences, a cash bar featuring Dutch Creek Winery and much more! We cannot wait, but while we do we thought we’d give you a little sneak peek of the treats you can try.

Sadie Baby Sweets specializes in creating beautifully crafted custom-made sweets. From Cake Pops to Rice Crispy Treats to Chocolate covered Oreos, theirĀ creations almost look too good to eat! You can catch them at farmers markets around town or make an appointment to visit them in their Downtown shop. At theĀ festival, you will be able to sample theirĀ cake pops in red velvet, birthday cake, chocolate and lemon.

Early Bird Food TruckĀ owner,Ā Libby Glover, pursued creating a local bakery that provided classic desserts made in a new fresh way. In 2013, she createdĀ Four and Twenty Blackbird Bake Shop as aĀ micro bakery that infused classic techniques and fresh innovation to make flavorful small-batch desserts.Ā The Early Bird is the official food truck for Four and Twenty Blackbird Bake Shop! They serve French Quarter inspired beignets and coffee daily and will be bringing that fried dough goodness for you to sample at the Sweet Treats Dessert Festival!

Getting its inspiration from the street vendors of Thailand, Simply Rolled Ice Cream puts a twist on a traditional favorite! Using a custom fresh ice cream base and a cold plate they transform liquid to beautiful ice cream rolls right before your eyes. Their treats are as fun to watch as they are to eat. They will be sampling out these beautiful treats to each guest at the event!

Your Just Desserts was born out of the desire to give a better cheesecake option to local shops and restaurants. Baker and owner David Brooks set out to do just that, by personally baking and bringing samples to local restauranteurs one at a time. What Brooks found, is that there was a real need for fantastic cheesecake in the capitol city! Now you can find his cheesecakes in restaurants in Columbus and beyond! Ā Guests will be able to try samples of Brooks’ Artisan Cheesecakes including Red Raspberry Swirl, Milk Chocolate Raspberry, and a Gluten-friendly Vanilla Bean. Guests will also be able to sample his newly offered wedding cakes!

Each ticket gets guests access to the full event and a treated sample from each local sweets maker. Tickets are $15 and available for two timed sessions noon ā€“ 2 p.m. or 2 ā€“ 4 p.m. A limited number of Early Bird tickets are going fast, but are still available for $25 and give guests exclusive access to the event from 11 a.m. ā€“ noon (on top ofĀ the noon ā€“ 2 p.m. session). We are excited to give back a portion of the ticket sales to the Gifts of Kindness Fund again this year!

Plus, our friends at Whole Foods Market will be onsite treating each guest to a salty snack with their DIY trail mix bar.Ā

Previously announced treat makers this year include: J-Pops, Jeniā€™s Splendid Ice Creams,Ā Positively Sweet, The Cheesecake Girl, Pretzels With a Twist by Nayā€™s Creative Ways, Solo Merengues Bakery, Short North Piece of Cake, Sadie Baby Sweets, Early Bird Food Truck, The Angry Baker Cakes & Pastries, Barroluco Argentine Comfort Food, 8 Sisters Bakery, Kilwins DublinĀ andĀ Speakeasy Bakery,Ā Ā Cameron Mitchell Premier Events, Tupelo Doughnuts,Ā Queenz Krumblez, Mrs. Turboā€™s Cookies, andĀ Black Velvet DessertsĀ , Your Just Desserts, LLC.Ā

Guests can also enjoyĀ our sweet shopping experience which will include Igloo Letterpress,Ā Surprise Modern Party + Cocktail Goods,Ā Ā Wholly Craft!, and Inked and Screened!Ā

Tickets are expected to sell out! Donā€™t miss out! Get your tickets here!

The Sweet Treats Dessert Festival would not be possible without our partners: PNC Bank, Game Night the Movie, Whole Foods, and Dutch Creek Winery.
