“Many of our customers are surprised to learn that we can help update their wardrobe with services like narrowing their ties, or their trousers, giving them a more modern look, while saving them a great deal of money over having to buy something new,” said Swan Cleaners President Paul Gelpi in a release issued today.

Additional services include shortening, lengthening, seam repair, zipper replacement, pocket repair/replacement, and relines.

The new opening is the first move in a series of updates to their Downtown-area service. Their location at 255 S. High St. will be closing on February 20. The building that houses the location will eventually be demolished to make room for a new 11-story mixed-use apartment building developed by Crawford Hoying. Swan Cleaners has plans to relocate those dry cleaning services across the street to the Highpoint building this spring, with more information to be unveiled soon.

    The new Tailoring & Alteration Center will is open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
