Superchef’s Breakfast & More Expanding to Gahanna
When Superchef’s Breakfast & More opened last July at 199 East Broad Street, it filled a breakfast void in the downtown with delicious, Southern-inspired takes on the most important meal of the day.
Now, one year later, owners Ryan Bryson, a graduate of the University of Findlay and the business side of the operation, and Columbus native, Darnell Ferguson, have decided to open a second branch, this time in Gahanna, in the Village Square at Cherry Bottom.
The expansion comes in response to the overwhelming patronage SuperChef’s has received in the past 12 months. Open on weekend mornings as well, brunchers and locals have made the new transplant a must-visit in the downtown.
At their new over 3,000 square feet restaurant, SuperChef’s will be offering the same tried and true menu fans have come to enjoy, which includes Red Velvet and Apple Caramel Pancakes, the Sweet & Sour Burger with hot crab spread, and the Southwestern Storm Superdilla.
What will be different at the new location will be the addition of a full bar, where specialty cocktails will be offered during a brand new Happy Hour. There will also be new items to be revealed upon launch.
“We saw that lots of our guests were coming from the north east – Gahanna, Pickerington, New Albany – and we wanted to cater to them,” shares Justin Moore, Manager at SuperChef’s. “Gahanna’s a family-based neighborhood, perfect for our next expansion.”
SuperChef’s Gahanna will be able to seat around 70 guests at a time, which is little over twice what they currently can hold at their Broad Street location. They will open daily at 8am, and close every day but Sunday at 7pm. Sunday close time is as-yet undetermined.
