    Strickland’s 2009 State of the State Address at Noon

    Today, Governor Ted Strickland is scheduled to deliver his third State of the State Address to the 128th Ohio General Assembly. I’m expecting to see much discussion on education reform and Ohio’s economy.

    Ohio is facing a seven billion dollar budget deficit and is required by it’s constitution to have a balanced budget. What that means is some hard choices for Mr. Strickland. He can cut services or raise taxes. With John Kasich eagerly awaiting a major misstep and Strickland’s approval ratings already falling with the economy, will he try to raise taxes?
