Last summer, the Diamond Cellar spun off its Store 5a concept from an in-house and online brand into a stand-alone store in the Short North. After a successful first year, Store 5a is launching a much larger second location not far from the Easton Town Center Diamond Cellar.
“After one short year, we realized that our concept is too large to contain in just 1,000 square feet,” explained Jesse Johnson, Director at Store 5a. “That is when we decided to open the second storefront at Easton, which offers a much larger work space with offices, inventory, shipping, storage and even our own shop, as well as the added retail space.”
With over 6,000 square feet of room now at their disposal at 3985 Morse Crossing, Johnson says that their expanding inventory will include not only fine jewelry, bridal jewelry, estate watches and designer handbags, but also sunglasses, scarves and other accessories.
“Our priority as a company is the process for authenticating, refurbishing and appraising pieces as well as our client interactions,” added Johnson. “By focusing on the quality and integrity of how we do things, we have grown naturally as a result of the support we’ve received. We pride ourselves in the amount of attention each and every piece receives.”
Of course, Johnson also credits the company’s growth to the warm reception that the store has received over the past year in the original Short North location.
“For a newer concept and our first brick and mortar location it was the best place to start, experiment, listen and learn from our customers and the community,” he said. “And if you think you may have some items that we might like, please contact us. We buy all kinds of luxury items.”
The Easton Market location of Store 5a is expected to open the second week in December.
