    Even most avowed drunkards see some merit in drunken driving laws. But one Columbus man thinks he has the stuff to take on the system and win one for the boozy motorists of the world.

    “I, like most people, accepted the dogma about drunk driving,” said Jeff Brown, the founder of drivinganddrinking.org.

    Then one night in 2004 he received a citation for operating a vehicle while intoxicated for riding his bicycle along High Street as he returned to his Ninth Avenue apartment following a night of drinking—”five Bud Lights and a shot of Jager,” he volunteered.

    In Ohio, bicycles fall under the realm of vehicles in regards to drunken driving laws, and Brown went through the system like any other intoxicated driver.
