The plan requires the demolition of a single-story warehouse building at 555 Boone St., which the Downtown Commission voted to approve in February. The updated proposal returning to May’s Commission Meeting showcases finalized design elements for the parking garage.

The four-story garage is proposed to be built with industrial materials like metal screening, while the exterior would include new greenspace, a pedestrian entry plaza and outdoor seating areas.

Update: The Downtown Commission voted on Tuesday, May 28 to approve the proposal.
