Only one week following the announcement that the Richard Petty Driving Experience would be coming soon to Columbus, the Sports Pavilion and Automotive Research Center (SPARC) revealed today that they’ve got another partner on board at the new racetrack facility. Pegram Motorcycles will own and operate a motorcycle dealership on site, which includes a performance shop and riding academy.

“We have attracted another best of breed participant to the SPARC project,” said Bill Schottenstein, principal of Arshot Investment Corporation, the developer of SPARC. “The presence of Pegram will further enhance and complement our existing partners.”

Those partners include Michael Waltrip Racing and Midwestern Auto Group in addition to the aforementioned Richard Petty Driving Experience.

“I am excited to share my knowledge and expertise with everyone from recreational riders to those aspiring to the professional circuit,” said Superbike racer Larry Pegram. “I have world class mechanics working for me during the race season, and now I can offer them full time employment sharing their knowledge with the motorcycling public.”

Pegram began racing at age 4, became a notorious dirt track racer in his teens and has been a professional racer since 1988.

Construction work at SPARC began in April with a multi-phase completion timeline currently scheduled for late 2015 through early 2016.
