The Small Business Beanstalk Launches Online Local Gift Card Shop

What do you get when you cross Cyber Monday with Small Business Saturday and then turn those one-day events into an ongoing sale? You get The SBBeanstore, a new way to purchase discounted gift cards from the comfort of your own keyboard.

The Small Business Beanstalk, a company that helps connect local businesses to local customers, launched the SBBeanstore to continue expanding their services to both businesses and shoppers alike.

“The new store allows businesses to receive the benefits of SBB membership without the upfront annual membership fee,” says Timothy Wolf Starr, CEO & Founder of The Small Business Beanstalk. “Consumers can save money while supporting local business and all the projects of the SBB.”

The SBBeanstore differs from the Groupon model as it’s powered by the locally made Bidswan platform and allows local businesses to decide the value and frequency of their gift cards releases in order to best drive new customers to their business.

New deals arrive monthly or quarterly and many sell out quickly. Gift card offers range from $4 movie tickets at the Gateway Film Center to $25 gift cards to Mozart’s Bakery for only $15. Gift cards be redeemed with a printed screenshot of the purchase or a fancier gift card delivered by mail, which is more suitable for gifting.

“We’ll be rolling out nonprofit partnerships with help from Community Shares of Mid Ohio in the next couple of weeks,” adds Starr.
