Sí Señor Re-Opens on Lynn Street

After months of speculation and anticipation, the hood is installed, the inspections are all complete, and Sí Señor, the tiny, Latin-American based sandwich shop that could, opens its doors today at its new location: 72 East Lynn Street.

This is the third storefront for owner Guillermo Perez, who sees the move as the chance to not only do more for his business, but more for the customer as well. This time around, Perez’s focus is on creating something substantial yet homey, a place that would be more than just the lunches served.

“We really wanted to build something where everyone can come in for a good meal and a good time,” Perez shares. “With the new design, you’re greeted right when you come in the door, and the dining room now has the space for groups to sit and eat.”

The new site is almost twice as large as the previous 20, East Long Street spot. Diners will also notice a change in decor – the new restaurant is sleeker, with black tables and chairs, clean, white walls, and refreshing pops of color that gives the place a much more modern feel than previous locations.

What will not change however is the quality of food at Sí Señor’s. Known for serving up Peruvian-inspired cuisine, Sí Señor will again be offering favorites like Empanandas, Chicharrón Peruano, deliciously fried chunks of pork served on a soft roll and topped with salsa criolla, and the Turkey al Jugo.

In addition, Sí Señor will offer specials on Saturdays that promises to not only be the best weekend lunch you’ll have, but one that’s affordable as well. Like the Ceviche de Pescado, fresh tilapia served with sweet Ohio corn, glazed sweet potatoes, red onions, hot peppers, and lime juice. A small platter will only set you back $5.50, and a large $7.50.

“We’re going to be offering more options as we move forward,” says Perez. “We want customers to want to come back in and try all the delicious food we’re making… we’re stepping it up in every way, and we think customers will notice that the first time they come in.”

When Sí Señor reopens, summer hours will be in effect: Monday – Friday, 11am-6pm and Saturdays 12pm-4pm.
