The Short North Alliance is set to debut 11 new temporary outdoor murals next week, replacing the previous 10 that were on display from August 2012 to September 2013. The murals are easily installed and removed as they are made up of high-resolution images of artwork printed on a vinyl adhesive that is fixed to the sides of buildings throughout the district.

“The mural series was one of the most talked about temporary public art exhibitions we have done in the District in many years,” said Betsy Pandora, Executive Director of the Short North Alliance. “When the first exhibition was de-installed in late 2013, the outcry from our visitors and business community was huge! Everyone wanted them back, and we’re glad that we’re able to continue this exciting and popular series in 2014 through the generous support of the City of Columbus’ Create Columbus Commission.”

The 11 artists, art pieces and display locations are included as follows:

    • Joey Monsoon – Inez, KY: “Remember Your Spot”, presented by Lindsay Gallery, installed at 700 N High Street.
    • Wallace Peck – Columbus, OH: “Lady Liberty”, presented by Open Door Art Studio, installed at 1209 N High Street.
