Located in the heart of the downtown district in Grove City at 3952 Broadway, The Farm Table on 62 offers the community apparel, home goods, and paint lessons.
Two and a half years ago, dietician Christie Laffin left her career in the medical field in pursuit of running her own business. She had worked in direct sales on the side for years, and through that experience learned the ins and outs of business, specifically how to work with customers and purchase products. She took that knowledge and used it to open The Farm Table on 62, where she regularly interacts with both customers and vendors.
The Farm Table carries clothes, home décor, lighting, and furniture. Laffin stocks products from 10 local vendors and 10 national vendors, in a wide price range from $20 to $2,000. Custom, new, and antique items are all available, along with seasonal specialties.
Additionally, the shop offers the service of custom painting furniture for customers, providing a selection of Dixie Belle paints from Florida. Customers can bring in their furniture that is in need of a spruce, pick out a color, and the shop will paint and refinish the piece. They also offer painting classes, both one-on-one and in a group setting, in furniture and sign painting. Groups are encouraged to sign up for a class together for a team building exercise or a girls night out trip.
Laffin also hosts community events and fundraiser weekends in the shop.
