Popular retailer Elm & Iron is opening their fourth location this Spring. In addition to their original Clintonville location, Elm & Iron currently operates two locations in the booming Over The Rhine area in Cincinnati.
The new Easton Location will provide a larger space for more furniture and larger vintage items. Elm & Iron owner Daniel McClurg hopes the new location will give them exposure to new clients who might frequent the Easton area but be otherwise unaware of the merchandise and products Elm & Iron carries. The Columbus-based brand will no doubt draw a local-centric crowd to the ever-growing shopping area. Likewise, the company will benefit from operating alongside many of the major national retailers currently operating in the area.
McClurg opened Elm and Iron’s first location in Clintonville in 2012 in a building he had long admired. As soon as he saw old service station building was for lease he jumped at the chance to open a business there. Once the lease was signed, he started on the task of deciding what type of business he would open. Having a background in painting and property development, he was drawn to the idea of opening a home décor store that would utilize his knowledge while stretching his entrepreneurial nature. McClurg set about the task of filling his store with unique, one-of-a-kind items, both new and vintage. Although he had no prior retail experience, McClurg opened his store just four months after signing the lease on the building.
With their fourth store opening, the company plans on investing all of their time and energy into making those stores the best they can be. They want to cultivate items their customers will not find anywhere else. Elm & Iron strives to create a culture that will draw in new customers as well as keep old customers returning for more treasures.
The new Elm & Iron store will have their grand opening on Saturday, April 29Â at 4170 Easton Gateway Drive.Â
