    Shop Talk: Clover on High

You may not have noticed, but the Emperor’s Newest Clothes in the Short North has been replaced with a new shop called Clover on High. The transition, which began back in September, was gradual by intention; as the new owners wanted to keep the store open and retain all of the staff during the process.

“There are some additional interior projects we are planning over the long term, so you’ll notice some big changes when you walk in now,” said Store Manager Lena Holzworth. “The store will be an ongoing project as we learn what our customers want to see more of when they come back.”

Customers will notice some similarities to the old store, as new lines and brands are being introduced to compliment some of the older ones that have been carried over. The result will be more variety to the store’s inventory.

“Our prices are still affordable with everything currently under $100,” said Holzworth. “We have a new jewelry line we’re carrying that we love, and some of the new furniture in the store is for sale as well.”

Holzworth added that new products are purchased on a weekly basis, which means that shoppers will be able to find something new, even if they are frequent customers.
